Enroll for Free

Families enrolled in Math in the Mail™ receive a kit in the mail, 6 times per year (approx. every 8 weeks), which contains materials, resources, and instructions for math activities. Free enrollment is grant funded and allocated to three-year-old children in Michigan’s Great Lakes Bay Region, which encompasses Arenac, Bay, Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Isabella, Midland, and Saginaw counties. Qualification Requirements

To receive Math in the Mail™ for free, families must:
  • Live in Arenac, Bay, Clare, Gladwin, Gratiot, Isabella, Midland, or Saginaw County
  • Have a three-year-old in the household
  • Have a household income that is at or below 250% of the federal poverty guidelines
  • Provide proof of income (i.e., W-2, 1040 form, 3 pay stubs, Medicaid acceptance letter or client ID, Bridge Card acceptance letter or client ID, or DHHS/CDC Child Care Assistance letter or client ID)

  • Submit enrollment online or by mail.

  • Math in the Mail™ coordinators review eligibility.
  • If eligible, a math kit is mailed to the enrolled child.
  • If not eligible for the free program, families are referred to paid bundles or subscriptions.
